‘The Value of Drama: The creative connection of the Gaelic languages’ By Muireann Kelly
Muireann Kelly is Artistic Director of Theater Gu Leòr and has lived in Glasgow for many years, but is from Westport, County Mayo, Ireland. A distinctive feature of Theater Gu Leòr is the inclusion of the Celtic languages of Ireland and Wales, as well as Gaelic. Theater Gu Leòr is a Glasgow-based theater company that develops and produces new, contemporary Gaelic drama.
In this event in honor of Colmcille, and on the date of the Festival, Muireann will tell us about the inspiration and imagination that come to life through Gaelic and the Irish language. We will have the opportunity to talk to her about the connection between Irish and Scottish Gaelic and try to answer the question: What are the benefits of working together creatively?
See Facebook event page for registration details.
