There are two that I am aware of locally, but there could be loads of other stuff. I know that an Englishman who has been living in the district for some years (Ian Stewart Hargreaves) has an interest in chapel sites and pilgrim trails, and he has published one booklet through the Islands Book Trust “Early Christianity in Lewis – the Ness Connection”. Also, of course, we have Mary MacLeod, the Archaeologist, living in the district.
The two sites that are well known from the period are already well recorded:
In Laimishader:

and in Kirvick:

In Laimishader, the well, Fuaran Ciaran, is still extant. In Kirvick, the old pre-Dalmore cemetery is located on the site of the chapel.
Both of these places are in attractive areas for walks –and I think their addition to any Slì would be quite appropriate.
